Job SummaryThe HR and Benefits Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting a range of human resources functions, with a primary focus on the administration of Benefits, pension student placement and new hires orientation activities. Beyond core administrative duties, the HR and Benefits Administrator plays an active role in fostering employee engagement and wellbeing by promoting wellness resources, supporting organizational initiatives, and collaborating with the People and Culture to deliver activities that strengthen connection, belonging, and overall employee experience across LOFT.
To excel in this role, the incumbent must possess advanced MS office skills, enabling them to tackle intricate data entry and form creation tasks efficiently. The HR and Benefits Administrator is entrusted with the management of administrative data and employee records. They should be capable of independently seeing through assigned projects, demonstrating a high degree of organizational aptitude and resourcefulness, while consistently meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
WhatYou Will Do
- Administer LOFT’s benefits and pension programs, acting as the primary liaison for employees, providers, and internal stakeholders. Oversee the full lifecycle from enrolment through changes and terminations with clarity, clear communication, and a strong commitment to service excellence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and other stakeholders regarding inquiries related to the Employee Assistance Program, ensuring timely, clear, and supportive guidance.
- Prepare periodic statistical and analytical reports, including benefits enrolment, EAP utilization, pension participation, and student placement metrics, to support data‑driven planning and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date benefits, pension, EAP, and student placement records through precise data entry and standardized processing, ensuring compliance with applicable legislations, internal procedures and privacy requirements.
- Coordinate and deliver educational webinars and training sessions that strengthen employee understanding of benefits and pension plans. Collaborate with external service providers to create engaging, accessible learning experiences that support employee wellbeing.
- Participate in Client Care Service meetings, provide relevant updates, insights, and trends related to benefits, pension programs, and employee support initiatives.
- Coordinate and oversee the student placement program, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for students and supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to lead and facilitate in‑person new employee orientation sessions, ensuring a welcoming and engaging start for all new hires.
- Collaborate with respective HR team members to plan, coordinate, and deliver employee engagement activities, including wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and other organizational events that foster connection, belonging, and a positive overall employee experience.
- Research and execute special projects related to HR matters as assigned.
- Oversee ad hoc tasks that may arise, demonstrating flexibility and a quick response.
- Provide back‑up support to other functions of the People & Culture team in their absence.
