Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient HR Data Engineering Analyst to join our Human Resources Shared Services team. This role will focus exclusively on enabling HR data solutions and reporting capabilities across our global workforce by leveraging Snowflake as the centralized enterprise data platform.
The ideal candidate will support the ingestion, modeling, and optimization of HR data assets—such as employee demographics, compensation, benefits, time tracking, and payroll—ensuring accuracy, scalability, and alignment with enterprise-wide reporting and compliance requirements. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build foundational expertise in cloud data engineering within a mission-critical function.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines in Snowflake to support HR analytics, compliance, and operational reporting
Support the integration and transformation of data from HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, and third-party vendors into Snowflake
Develop and optimize HR data models, ensuring efficient structures for reporting on headcount, turnover, benefits, compensation, and organizational structure
Partner with HRIS, Total Rewards, Payroll, and Workforce Planning teams to understand data needs and develop scalable solutions
Ensure data quality, validation, and reconciliation across systems, including control frameworks for sensitive and regulated data
Assist with building secure, governed data views for internal stakeholders while complying with data privacy and protection policies (e.g., PII, GDPR)
Document technical specifications, data dictionaries, and transformation logic for HR datasets and workflows
Support troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance tuning of Snowflake processes and queries
Contribute to agile sprint planning and execution as part of the HR Technology or HR Analytics function
Maintain familiarity with evolving HR data standards and reporting regulations (e.g., EEO, DEI, ACA, OSHA)
Requirements:
1–3 years of experience in data engineering, HR analytics, or HR systems (internships/co-ops considered)
Strong SQL proficiency; working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation
Hands-on exposure to Snowflake, including schema design, data loading, and query optimization
Familiarity with common HR systems (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP, or similar) and HR data structures
Understanding of ETL/ELT workflows, data modeling, and integration design
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with data orchestration tools such as Workato, dbt, or similar preferred
Snowflake or cloud platform certification is a plus
