Labour Relations Expert – 12-Month Contract (Hybrid)

I’m supporting a large, federally regulated, unionized organization seeking an experienced Labour Relations professional for a contract opportunity focused on grievance management, collective agreement interpretation, and union engagement
.

This role involves working within a complex labour environment and contributing to effective, fair, and timely resolution of labour relations matters.

Location: Toronto or Montreal

Work Model: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support the resolution of grievances in a unionized environment
• Interpret and apply collective agreements in alignment with organizational policies and legislation
• Collaborate with union representatives to support constructive labour relations
• Contribute to dispute resolution strategies and workload prioritization
• Support consistency and fairness in labour relations decision-making

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in Labour Relations within a unionized environment
• Hands-on experience managing grievances
• Working knowledge of the Canada Labour Code
• Experience interpreting and applying collective agreements
• Strong communication, judgement, and relationship-management skills
