Tech Talent International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US and Europe. We currently have a role as a Senior Payroll Specialist with our multinational EV manufacturing client that will be expanding in Canada. Role:
Senior Payroll Specialist Type:
Fulltime, Perm

Location:

North York, ON Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 based on experience + bonus, RRSP, Full Benefits. Some flexibility in the total comp plan can be made for a senior level candidate. Languages

English & Mandarin (nice to have)

Key Responsibilities
  • Core Payroll Operation & Management:
    Responsible for semi-monthly payroll calculation, distribution, and tax filing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Benefits Framework Setup:
    Assist HRM in building and continuously optimizing the employee benefits framework from scratch, based on the company’s development stage and headcount.
  • HR Assistant Support:
    Support the HR Manager with other HR daily tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Assisting with new employee orientation and training.
    • Supporting recruitment activities.
    • Other HR-related support as needed.
    Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • Work Experience:

    3–5 years of hands‑on payroll experience, particularly with companies of around a few hundred employees. Candidates with a background in large enterprises/manufacturers are preferred.
  • Adaptability:
    Able to work in a startup or growth‑stage environment, handle multiple tasks, and demonstrate attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Good to Have:
    Experience with expatriate payroll or cross‑border payroll processing is a plus. Chinese proficiency preferred.
