We currently have a role as a Senior Payroll Specialist with our multinational EV manufacturing client that will be expanding in Canada. Role:
Senior Payroll Specialist Type:

Location:
North York, ON Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 based on experience + bonus, RRSP, Full Benefits. Some flexibility in the total comp plan can be made for a senior level candidate. Languages
English & Mandarin (nice to have)
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for semi-monthly payroll calculation, distribution, and tax filing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist HRM in building and continuously optimizing the employee benefits framework from scratch, based on the company’s development stage and headcount.
Support the HR Manager with other HR daily tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with new employee orientation and training.
- Supporting recruitment activities.
- Other HR-related support as needed.
3–5 years of hands‑on payroll experience, particularly with companies of around a few hundred employees. Candidates with a background in large enterprises/manufacturers are preferred.
Able to work in a startup or growth‑stage environment, handle multiple tasks, and demonstrate attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
Experience with expatriate payroll or cross‑border payroll processing is a plus. Chinese proficiency preferred.
