As we continue building the future of recruitment within a remarkably human and refreshingly simple organization, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition to lead high‑performing teams, shape enterprise hiring strategies, and deliver exceptional outcomes for our business, candidates, and colleagues. This role combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, and deep talent market expertise to drive scalable, data‑driven recruitment solutions aligned to TD’s growth priorities.

Key

Accountabilities Customer
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of recruitment professionals, fostering a performance‑driven culture focused on attracting and developing top talent pipelines.
  • Ensure the team builds targeted and diverse talent pipelines across multiple channels (e.g., social, passive sourcing, referrals, alumni, and silver medalists).
  • Actively manage a portfolio of complex searches, applying best‑in‑class sourcing and assessment strategies.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to deliver strategic talent consultation, including workforce planning, sourcing strategies, and candidate assessment approaches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise stakeholders, influencing hiring strategies and aligning on priorities.
  • Promote and enhance TD’s employer brand through engagement with industry groups, networks, and external partners.
  • Deliver a legendary hiring manager and candidate experience across the full recruitment lifecycle.
  • Leverage recruitment data, metrics, and technology to inform decisions and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert by staying current on market trends, talent insights, and leading practices in talent acquisition.
Shareholder
  • Partner with senior business leaders to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies and business plans that optimize resources and drive efficiency at scale.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and communicate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, adjusting tactics to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure recruitment programs, policies, and practices align with enterprise priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a strong culture of risk management and governance, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate risks appropriately while ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Lead or contribute to enterprise initiatives, representing Talent Acquisition as a strategic partner across the organization.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional efforts with partners across HR, Technology, Finance, and Risk Management.
Employee / Team
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of recruitment leaders and professionals, aligning team capabilities with enterprise needs and future skills.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and deliver results against business requirements.
  • Build team capability through coaching, development planning, and succession management.
  • Create an inclusive, high‑performing culture that promotes innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet business priorities and timelines.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for TD, both internally and externally.
Breadth & Depth
  • Lead a large and/or complex Talent Acquisition function, operating in an environment of significant scale, ambiguity, and impact.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, bringing deep industry knowledge and forward‑looking insights.
  • Anticipate emerging trends, identify operational efficiencies, and drive innovation across the recruitment function.
  • Facilitate executive‑level discussions and contribute to the development of long‑term talent acquisition strategies and roadmaps.
  • Set direction for the team and collaborate across functions to deliver enterprise priorities.
  • Focus on longer‑term planning (12+ months) to ensure sustainable talent outcomes.
