In this full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager of Labour Relations, you will act as a senior subject matter expert. Responsibilities include handling grievances, strategic planning for arbitrations, and facilitating compliance with labour laws. Strong analytical skills will be needed to assess emerging risks and recommend preventive strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on labour relations and compliance risks
• Lead response strategies for grievances and arbitrations
• Oversee integrity of labour relations systems and financial processes
• Represent the Polytechnic in union relations
• Conduct investigations into workplace violations
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Labour Relations or HR-related field
• At least seven years of labour relations experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of institutional HR systems beneficial
• Willingness to travel as needed
