Recruitment Director – Hudson Talent Solutions

Location:

Mississauga, ON (Hybrid) | Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 CAD

The Role

This is a role with genuine scope and responsibility. As a Recruitment Director embedded on‑site with a leading global biopharma client, you’ll lead the talent function that sources the scientists, specialists, and support professionals behind life‑changing medicines and vaccines. You’re not just filling roles — you’re enabling the work that matters.

You’ll manage a team of circa 8 people and serve as the senior recruitment voice within the client business — a trusted partner to leaders, a visible presence on‑site, and the person who sets the standard for how great hiring gets done. It’s a high‑expectation environment, and that’s exactly what makes it compelling.

You will bring a forward‑thinking mindset to how recruitment gets done, actively embracing AI and emerging technology, championing their adoption within the team and continuously looking for smarter, faster ways to operate — without ever losing the human touch that a great hiring process demands.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Leading, developing, and managing an onsite RPO recruitment team
  • Acting as the senior RPO partner to client leadership — providing strategic counsel on talent, workforce planning, and hiring best practice
  • Owning end‑to‑end recruitment delivery across a complex, multi‑disciplinary portfolio within a global biopharma environment
  • Building trusted relationships with senior hiring managers and functional leaders across the client business
  • Driving recruitment reporting and workforce analytics — presenting clearly to senior stakeholders on pipeline health, performance, and market insights
  • Setting and maintaining quality, compliance, and candidate experience standards across the team
  • Identifying risks and opportunities in the talent pipeline and responding with pace and precision
  • Supporting continuous improvement of processes and tools in a highly regulated environment
  • Representing the RPO partnership at its best — professional, proactive, and genuinely embedded
What You Bring
  • Significant experience in recruitment, with meaningful time spent in an RPO, staffing, internal, or embedded model
  • Demonstrated people leadership — you know how to build a team, develop individuals, and hold a high bar without losing people
  • Experience recruiting within life sciences, biopharma, medical devices, or a similarly complex regulated environment — or a strong track record partnering with highly technical client groups
  • Credible and confident with senior stakeholders — able to advise, influence, and challenge where needed
  • Strong commercial acumen and reporting capability — you can tell the story behind the numbers and use data to drive decisions
  • Operationally sharp — able to manage competing priorities across a large team portfolio without losing sight of quality
  • Understanding of compliance requirements in a regulated hiring environment
  • A cooperative, solutions‑first mindset — you solve problems before they become escalations
Leading the Team

With up to 8 recruiters in your team, your leadership approach will directly shape the quality of talent entering a business that genuinely changes lives. You’ll run the rhythms — team meetings, performance conversations, workload reviews, and individual development — while remaining close enough to the work to set and maintain the standard. This is a player‑manager role at its best: strategic enough to hold the senior client relationship, hands‑on enough to know when your team needs you in the weeds with them.

This role requires a regular onsite presence at our client’s offices in Mississauga. In an environment where trust is currency, face‑to‑face presence isn’t a formality — it’s how relationships are formed, how team culture is set, and ultimately how the work gets done at its best.

Why Hudson Talent Solutions

  • A supportive environment with genuine opportunities for professional growth and development
