Role Overview

The Senior Human Resources SAP S/4

HANA Consultant will lead the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP S/4

HANA HR
capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with Success Factors and downstream HR, payroll, and talent systems. This role partners closely with HR, IT, and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and high‑quality HR technology solutions.

Location: Toronto or Calgary

Work Mode - Mostly Remote

Duration - 3 months

Key Responsibilities

  • LeadS/4

    HANA HR configuration
    and customization to support core HR processes and integration with Success Factors.
  • Own the
    HR mini master data model, including setup, governance, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Design and implement
    end‑to‑end integrations between S/4

    HANA HR, Success Factors, payroll, talent management, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for configuration settings, system parameters, data mappings, and integration workflows.
  • Provide senior‑level functional and technical support for HR processes, including issue resolution and root‑cause analysis.
  • Lead and support
    system testing cycles (unit, SIT, UAT), ensuring solution quality and alignment with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners to translate requirements into scalable system solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, solution optimization, and adoption of S/4

    HANA best practices.
  • Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with
    SAP S/4

    HANA HR
    or SAP HCM
    , including advanced configuration expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of
    HR mini master structure, configuration, and data dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of
    HR integrations across payroll, organizational management, talent management, and Success Factors.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP configuration tools, enhancement frameworks, and data migration concepts.
  • Solid understanding of HR business processes, data flows, and compliance considerations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex cross‑module issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    Success Factors Employee Central integration to S/4

    HANA.
  • Knowledge of Organizational Management, Time Management, or Payroll schemas.
  • Exposure to SAP BTP, Integration Suite, or middleware platforms.
  • SAP certification in HR/HCM or S/4

    HANA.
