Make a difference as an Employment Counselor with Newcomer Women's Services Toronto in North York. Engage with job seekers and guide them through the employment journey with personalized support and coaching.
This full-time role focuses on assisting ALP program participants, particularly newcomer women to Canada. As the primary contact for clients, you’ll conduct assessments, develop action plans, and guide individuals toward sustainable employment opportunities. Your client-centered approach and expertise in skills development will make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct eligibility assessments for clients' career development
• Develop personalized action plans tailored to individual needs
• Deliver coaching sessions and workshops for job readiness
• Maintain accurate records for a caseload of up to 150 clients
• Build relationships with employers for job placement
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in related field or 5 years’ experience
• Minimum 3 years in case management and career coaching
• Strong knowledge of local labor market and resources
• Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office
• Certified Career Development Practitioner designation preferred
