Attributes We Value

We hire successful builders with founder‑like energy who want real impact, accelerated learning, and true ownership. You bring strong role‑related expertise and sharp thinking, and you’re motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor.

You’re humble and collaborative; turn zero‑to‑one ideas into real products, and you “get stuff done” end‑to‑end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you’ll tackle complex, high‑visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let’s build what’s next.

What you’ll do

This role sits at the intersection of People Operations (60%) and Workplace Experience (40%) for our Toronto office. You will act as a critical “boots on the ground” partner, ensuring core HR operations for the Americas team run smoothly while helping build a strong, engaging in‑office culture during a period of rapid growth for Canada.

You’ll own high‑volume, detail‑oriented work (onboarding, offboarding, payroll inputs, benefits) while also identifying opportunities to improve and automate processes as we scale. As part of the Americas team, you will help with our build‑out of Canada as well as opportunities to contribute to broader Americas people operations work supporting the US, Mexico and Brazil.

This is an in‑office role (Mon–Thurs) based in Toronto.

Responsibilities:
  • Own onboarding and offboarding end‑to‑end, ensuring a seamless employee experience

  • Serve as the primary POC for HR inquiries; manage ticketing system with timely, high‑quality responses

  • Maintain accurate HRIS and payroll data (incl. EOR), run audits, and manage data changes

  • Support payroll processes, including commissions and bonuses by auditing inputs and resolving discrepancies

  • Administer benefits programs and support ongoing rollout; ensure compliance with Canadian regulations

  • We are in a WeWork location, but you will oversee day‑to‑day office operations (supplies, vendors, access, equipment, general upkeep)

  • Act as a front‑of‑house presence: greet visitors, manage deliveries, coordinate with building management

  • Support and execute employee engagement initiatives (events, monthly celebrations, quarterly offsites)

  • Help build and scale a strong in‑office culture as the Toronto office grows

  • Identify inefficiencies in manual workflows and drive process documentation, improvements, automation and AI

  • Gather employee feedback (surveys, onboarding check‑ins, day‑to‑day interactions) and translate it into action

Who you are

We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in People Operations / HR in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment

  • Have a passion for culture and team building, you love bringing people together, and are excited to be a culture champion in a growing organization

  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian HR practices, particularly benefits and compliance

  • Hands‑on, detail‑oriented operator who is comfortable…
