What is the Opportunity?

Reporting to the Utilities Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Co‑op will support the utilities team with a variety of administrative duties, including assisting in hiring and onboarding.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with HR and TA to ensure frequent updates to recruitment reqs.
  • Support with reporting, data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support drafting offer letters, collecting all new hire paperwork, submitting requests for background checks prior to the employee start date.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews for candidates.
  • Schedule and coordinate pre‑screen interviews to assess suitability before moving candidates to managers.
  • Review resumes for select positions within Aecon Utilities.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualification / Requirements
  • Currently working toward or recently graduated with a degree or diploma focused on Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Experience in an administrative role is an asset.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self‑motivation to work in a remote, team environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

Please note this is a 4‑month co‑op opportunity starting in September 2026.
