You will report to the Executive Director of the People Team, supporting CUPE labor relations and managing the disciplinary process. Engage with managers to resolve workplace issues and administer essential employee benefits and health safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate labor relations activities and collective agreements
• Assist managers in handling grievances and terminations
• Act as HR lead for joint health and safety committees
• Coordinate recruitment, including assessments and onboarding
• Monitor WSIB processes and manage compliance reporting
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in HR or Business Administration
• 3-5 years of HR experience in a unionized environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Committed to maintaining confidentiality and ethics
Serve as a pivotal HR resource at the University of Toronto Press, ensuring workplace effectiveness and compliance.
