Position Overview

The Employer Services and Retention Support play an essential role within Dixon Hall's Employment and Placement Services team. In this position, you will assist the Employer Engagement team in understanding workplace expectations from employers, connecting clients with employers, and navigating their employment experience. You will work alongside Job Developers to coordinate onboarding and training processes for employers; conduct follow up communication with clients to retrieve employment related documentation and help address challenges that arise to promote sustained employment and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Employer Engagement and Relationship Management
  • Support in organizing hiring events, workshops, and employer guest sessions for client engagement and employer awareness.
  • Under the guidance of the employer engagement team, support the hiring, onboarding, and retention of clients from diverse backgrounds, including newcomers and individuals facing barriers to employment.
  • Track employer engagement, placement outcomes, and recruitment activities to support program reporting and objectives.
Client Placement and Retention Support
  • Assist the team to conduct workplace visits to ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Follow up with client's post-placement to monitor progress, retrieve employment related documentations, address challenges, and provide guidance for long-term job retention.
Community Connection and Outreach
  • Collaborate with community partners, agencies, and local resources to share information and raise awareness about employment programs and supports.
  • Participate in community events and local events to expand networks and strengthen employer and client engagement.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Post-secondary education in human services, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
