Founding Technical Recruiter

Elevate Terminal's hiring strategy as a Founding Technical Recruiter, a pivotal role in our Toronto office. Focus on engineering and data talent while directly impacting company growth.

This senior recruiter position gives you the opportunity to establish Terminal's technical hiring function. You will protect talent density as we scale from a small team into a larger organization. Work closely with our CEO and CTO to ensure high standards in technical hiring while managing every aspect from sourcing to closing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end technical recruiting across engineering and data roles

• Build a live map of desired Toronto engineering candidates

• Craft personalized messaging for outbound candidate outreach

• Maintain pipeline health and monitor candidate metrics

• Coordinate with CTO and technical leads on bar calibration

Requirements:

• Proven experience in technical recruiting in competitive markets

• Experience closing senior-level talent with active offers

• Strong communication skills for candidate engagement

• Familiarity with early-stage equity compensation conversations

• Ability to work independently without a coordination layer
