Job Description:

As a member of our Retirement, Benefits and Well-being team within Total Rewards, you’ll contribute to programs and services that help colleagues feel physically healthy, mentally strong, financially confident, and socially connected.

Role Overview

As the Well-being Program Manager, you will lead key well-being programs from start to finish. You will set the direction, improve how programs work, and help leaders make decisions using data.

You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in well-being. You will work with HR partners, business teams and vendors to deliver programs that are easy to use and make a real difference for colleagues.

You will manage several core programs, including:

  • Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) – confidential counselling and support services
  • TD Well-being app
  • Well-being Ambassador Program (employee volunteers who promote well-being)
  • Relationship with the Chief Medical Director (clinical advice and guidance)
Key Responsibilities Program leadership & design
  • Lead the design, delivery and improvement of well-being programs in Canada
  • Ensure programs align with overall HR strategy and business needs
  • Bring in external ideas and market trends to keep programs current
  • Lead the rollout of new programs, campaigns and enhancements
Advisory & partnership
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on well-being topics
  • Partner across teams (e.g., HR, Inclusion, international teams) to align programs
  • Tailor programs for different business needs where required
Data & insights
  • Track key metrics (e.g., usage, engagement, outcomes)
  • Use data to explain what is working and where to improve
  • Present clear insights and recommendations to senior leaders
Vendor & platform management
  • Manage external vendors who deliver well-being services
  • Oversee performance, service quality and ongoing improvements
  • Partner with vendors to improve the well-being app and increase usage
Governance, risk & compliance
  • Ensure programs meet legal, privacy and risk requirements
  • Manage program risks and escalated issues where needed
  • Support audits, reporting and internal reviews
Ambassador program leadership
  • Lead the Well-being Ambassador program
  • Recruit and train volunteers
  • Provide simple toolkits to support local activities
  • Recognize and reward contributions
Additional support
  • Connect business teams to additional supports when needed (e.g., mental health training, onsite support)
Job Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in HR, well-being, employee experience or a related field
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to explain complex topics in a simple way
  • Strong project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Comfortable working across teams and with senior leaders
  • Experience in employee well-being or health programs is an asset
  • Comfortable using data and digital tools (e.g., web or mobile platforms)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Copilot is an asset)
