Robert Half Canada is seeking an organized and service-oriented HR and Administrative Generalist to support a broad range of human resources and administrative functions for a client organization in North York. This position plays an important role in day-to-day back-office operations and serves as a key point of contact for employees, visitors, and external callers.

The successful candidate will help ensure smooth office operations, deliver strong internal customer service, and support HR processes, employee experience, and administrative activities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Support the recruitment and hiring process, including candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and hiring recommendations.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes to help create a positive employee experience.
  • Coordinate and support employee training and development initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support programs and initiatives that contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, feedback, and appraisal administration.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with applicable employment legislation and company policies.
  • Support employee engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Participate in HR projects and other related duties as assigned.
  • Administration, Customer Service, and Communication

  • Perform daily administrative duties, including recordkeeping, office coordination, and operational support.
  • Help maintain efficient back-office operations and ensure consistency with established procedures.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, courier packages, and deliveries.
  • Monitor office supply inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and external service providers, including vendors, trades, and security contacts.
  • Coordinate office maintenance, equipment servicing, and vendor support as required.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documents.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Provide administrative support to management and assist with special projects.
