This role will deliver high quality support across our HR teams including Talent Acquisition & Compensation. This Co-op/Internship will provide an exciting and challenging opportunity for an individual ideally studying as an undergraduate or postgraduate student in HR. You will partner directly with HR Leaders to build and drive key initiatives around employer brand, campus recruiting, new hire onboarding, talent programs, compensation cycles, and many other exciting projects.
This role reports to:
Head of Talent Acquisition. This role is hybrid (2 - 3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.
- Compensation Assist in consolidating job descriptions into a centralized repository, organized by the job family and/or business unit (BU)
- Collaborate and partner with HR stakeholders to assess the current job description and evaluation process and develop a streamlined approach for improved efficiency and accessibility
- Maintain and update job evaluation scores in a centralized file for accessibility and process optimization
- Provide ad hoc support on various compensation projects and business-as-usual (BAU) tasks as needed
- Talent Acquisition End to end recruitment support, resume reviews, reporting, background checks
- Support the refresh of our internal Recruitment Information Section
- Support the ongoing marketing of our Employee Value Proposition
- Organize and participate in campus events, job fairs, and other talent acquisition activities
- Support and coordinate the rollout of leadership development programs
- Provide support for other HR teams, as the need arises
- Research and recommend new ways to increase efficiencies and streamline processes
- Working toward a post-secondary degree with a focus and passion for Human Resources or related program
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable interacting with others to build effective working relationships
- Highly motivated, with strong time management skills and an ability to work with deadlines
- Impeccable administrative and organization skills along with outstanding attention to detail and data management abilities
- Technical proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel and strong analytical skills
- Strong sense of confidentiality, integrity and the ability to deal with sensitive information
- Quick learner and tech‑savvy in order to quickly learn our Learning Management System (LMS) and Human Resources Management System (Workday)
- Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment and take initiative in problem solving
- Experience working with Google Suite & HRMS Workday
