About This Role

This is a hands-on role for an HR professional who enjoys working across the employee lifecycle, building strong relationships with employees and managers, and keeping things organized behind the scenes.

The role has a strong focus on recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HR programs, and day-to-day employee support, with light administrative support for our Toronto office as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to take ownership of a broad range of HR responsibilities while working closely with employees, managers, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support full-cycle recruitment across a variety of roles, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and offer preparation.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, system setup, orientation, and ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and responding to employee questions.
  • Provide initial support to employees and managers on employee relations matters and escalating more complex issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
  • Support the administration and consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, including scheduling, documentation, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Support the execution of HR programs, initiatives, and cyclical processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide responsive and effective HR support.
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing, including data entry and validation.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate payroll and employee data.
  • Support payroll-related inquiries and administrative requirements as needed.
  • Provide general administrative and office support for the Toronto office as required.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple roles and functions.
  • Working knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems; experience with Humi is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
  • A proactive, practical, and service-oriented approach to HR.
Education and Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role, with strong experience in recruitment and employee lifecycle support.
  • Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPHR designation or working toward a CPHR is considered an asset.
Compensation and Additional Perks
  • Competitive compensation based on skill set and experience, ranging between $75,000 and $90,000 per year.
