We are an Etobicoke-based law firm proudly serving the Etobicoke community since 1949. While our core practice areas are wills and estates, real estate, and business law, we've built a strong family law reputation over the past several decades. Our family law partners have recently moved on, but many of the goodwill, referral networks, and community trust remain.
We're looking for the right family lawyer to take ownership of this practice and build on what's already here.
The OpportunityThis is a chance to step into an established family law practice without starting from scratch. You'll have:
- A respected firm name with 75+ years of community trust
- Built-in infrastructure and support systems
- Existing referral networks in Etobicoke and the GTA
- The freedom to run your practice your way within a collaborative team
- Potential for dedicated support staff as your practice grows
You’ll handle the full range of family law matters: separation and divorce, custody and access, child and spousal support, property division and equalization, cohabitation and marriage agreements, and dispute resolution.
Who You Are- Member of the Law Society of Ontario in good standing
- Able to run files independently from day one
- Experienced across all areas of family law, with a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a family lawyer
- Comfortable in court, at the negotiation table, and in client meetings
- Someone who values transparency, compassion, and clear communication
- A cultural fit for a small, close-knit office where everyone gets along
- Tech-savvy and forward thinking
- Bonus: comfortable with social media and online presence
- Down-to-earth, collaborative, sense of humor, and team-oriented
- Performance-based commission: percentage of collections over $200K annually
- Monthly collection expectation: ~$20k, with significant upside potential
- Health and dental benefits
- In-office position with hybrid flexibility once you've proven you can manage the workload
- A supportive team environment with low turnover
- The opportunity to build and own a practice area within an established firm
- Paid parking
Often family lawyers at large firms lack autonomy, or they start their own practice and scramble for clients. This role offers something different: step into infrastructure that's already built, with a reputation you can leverage from day one.
You’ll have the support of a team, the freedom to grow your client base, and the stability of a 75-year-old firm behind you. We’re modernizing, innovating, and looking for someone who can grow with us. We need someone who shares our values of honesty, efficiency, and personal service.
If you’re ready to take ownership, build something meaningful, and work with people who value competence and character equally, we want to hear from you.
