This Real Estate Legal Manager plays a key role within the Legal /Sales Contracts group as a team leader managing residential files and closings with complex and challenging issues. The candidate analyzes and assesses cases for priority attention due to legal issues or other special circumstances, prepares and delivers actions and clear communications to ensure timely resolution, minimize adverse outcomes, and achieve business objectives.
The candidate guides the administrative team and manages multiple, highly demanding priorities in a fast‑paced environment with a calm, professional demeanor.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
Interact effectively with stakeholders, clients, vendors, internal teams and company senior executives. Hold detailed legal discussions with others and understand the structure, procedures and demands of a real estate purchase and sale transaction. - File Management:
Handle builder’s sales contracts in low‑rise and high‑rise (condominium) divisions from intake to completion, including managing files, communications, and collaboration with other business teams such as Sales, Construction, Customer Care/Warranty, and Accounting. - Leadership:
Foster a productive, inclusive team. Set clear expectations, provide actionable feedback, resolve conflicts, delegate tasks, and coach team members. Inspire the team to achieve targets, maintain high morale during challenging times, and foster a positive, productive environment.
- Education:
Law Clerk diploma or equivalent legal experience. - Work Experience:
Minimum of 8+ years of related experience. - Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of MS Office, Outlook; experience with CRM (Salesforce), Newstar/Constellation programs is an asset. - Knowledge:
Understanding of property laws, real estate purchase and sale transactions, litigation, condominium law. - Skills:
- Excellent problem‑solving, oral and written skills.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment.
- Effective under pressure with excellent time‑management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of legal services and workflow.

Salary: $120,000 to $130,000
