What We Are Looking For:
Aird & Berlis LLP is currently seeking to fill an open vacancy for a Client Operations Coordinator who has law firm experience. Reporting to the Supervisor of Client Operations, the ideal candidate will have great communication skills, a keen eye for detail and will be able to work well both independently and on a team. Candidates must posses strong work ethic, professionalism, and good judgement.
Responsibilities:
Conflict checking; responsible for conducting database searches for new clients and matters, prepare and report findings to initiating lawyer, send firm wide email daily listing all new conflict inquiriesReview engagement letters for compliance with firm policiesOpen new clients and matters, ensuring firm requirements are metCross-training functions within departmentLiaise with patent agents, lawyers and assistantsProduce the highest quality of workAccountable for all work assignedTakes initiativeConfidentialRequirements:
Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a conflict administrator, legal assistant, or law clerkPrevious administrative work experience relating to patent, accounting and/or billing functions is an assetExperience in a legal or professional services setting is strongly preferredHandle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demandsSkills:
Microsoft suite of applicationsExperience with Aderant or Elite accounting software is preferredAbility to problem solveStrong interpersonal skillsOrganizedDetailedCompensation:
The salary range for this position is $50, - $60, annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal and market equity.
