This Real Estate Legal Manager plays a key role within the Legal /Sales Contracts group as a team leader managing residential files and closings often with complex and challenging issues (namely purchasers’ closing difficulties, increased client attention and specialized communications). The candidate is able to analyze and assess cases for priority attention due to legal issues or other special circumstances, prepare and deliver actions and clear communications to ensure timely resolution to minimize adverse outcomes, to deliver client satisfaction and/or achieve business objectives.
The candidate will be adept at guiding the administrative team and managing multiple, highly demanding priorities in a fast-paced environment with a calm, professional demeanor.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Able to interact effectively with stakeholders, clients, vendors, internal teams and company senior executives. Must have in-depth understanding of and able to hold detailed legal discussions with others and understand the structure, procedures and demands of a real estate purchase and sale transaction.
- File Management: Handling builder’s sales contracts in low-rise and high-rise (condominium) divisions from start to finish (including intaking new files, managing files, communications, collaboration with other business teams such as Sales, Construction, Customer Care/Warranty, Accounting etc). The ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, schedules, and resources simultaneously is crucial.
- Leadership: Possesses emotional intelligence, and leadership to foster a productive, inclusive team. Essential skills include setting clear expectations, providing actionable feedback, resolving conflicts, delegating tasks, and actively coaching team members. Inspiring the team to achieve targets, maintaining high morale during challenging times, and fostering a positive, productive environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Law Clerk diploma or equivalent legal experience
- Work Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of related experience
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, experience with CRM (Salesforce), Newstar/Constellation programs is an asset, but not required.
- Knowledge: Understanding of property laws, real estate purchase and sale transactions, litigation, condominium law.
- Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving, oral and written skills
- Being a self-starter with the ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrates excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, with strong commitment to accuracy and quality
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of legal services and workflow

Salary $120,000 to $130,000
