The Role
We are partnering with a highly regarded downtown Toronto law firm known for its expertise in complex litigation matters, including construction and multi-party disputes. With a strong reputation for delivering strategic and results-driven legal solutions, the firm is recognized for its collaborative culture, technical excellence, and commitment to client service.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced eDiscovery Law Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with strong technical eDiscovery experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with a team of Lawyers and Paralegals and will play a key role in managing complex litigation files from document collection through trial preparation.

Assist lawyers with all aspects of document collection, processing, review, and productionOrganize and manage complex, multi-party construction and litigation filesCoordinate, review, and interpret evidence and witness testimonyReview documents and prepare detailed chronologiesDraft lists of documents, pleadings, and legal correspondenceCoordinate examinations for discovery and trial schedulingPrepare court applications and related filingsConduct title searches and other legal research as requiredUtilize litigation support and eDiscovery softwareSupport matters through mediation, arbitration, and litigationReview transcripts and prepare undertaking chartsPrepare cost outlines and bills of costsRequirements
Completion of a Law Clerk program from an accredited post-secondary institution3–5+ years of Law Clerk experience, ideally in construction or general litigationStrong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, Class Proceedings, and the eDiscovery processAdvanced proficiency with eDiscovery software (Must have)Strong working knowledge of MS Office and litigation support systemsExceptional ability to manage complex, high-volume document filesHighly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracyIndependent, proactive, and solution-orientedStrong technical aptitude with legal document management systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSound judgment and ability to handle confidential informationStrong time management and ability to meet tight deadlinesCollaborative team player with a professional, client-focused approach#INDSTRIVEON
