We are hiring a Manager, Health and Safety in Toronto to support the development and deployment of IAMGOLD’s health and safety vision, values, and framework. Reporting to the Director, Health, Safety and Emergency Response, the Manager will act as the subject matter expert on health and safety‑related topics, supporting all sites, exploration teams and corporate functions. The incumbent will play an integral part in the creation and maintenance of the global health and safety management system.

• Lead IAMGOLD’s global health and safety strategy, ensuring alignment with our vision and values.
• Oversee safety data and reporting systems, providing insights that drive continuous improvement.
• Champion risk management programs, including critical hazard controls and compliance with international standards.
• Enhance travel and aviation safety, safeguarding IAMGOLD personnel worldwide.
• Foster a culture of safety leadership, supporting audits, investigations, and training across sites and corporate functions.

• A strong foundation in health and safety principles, supported by a post‑secondary education or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience (10+ years) in health and safety leadership, preferably in mining or complex industrial environments.
• Knowledge of management systems, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English;
  French is an asset.
• Willingness and ability to travel (30–50%).

• Certifications such as CRSP / CRST / NEBOSH are valued but not mandatory—we welcome equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with reporting systems like Intelex or similar platforms.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration, coaching, and influencing change.
• Comfort with public speaking and facilitating training sessions.
• A growth mindset and openness to learning new technologies and approaches.
