What can you expect from this position?
Reporting to the Associate Director, Groundside Transportation Business Planning & Performance, the Manager, Ground Transportation and Commercial Agreements is accountable for leading commercial performance and business development across Toronto Pearson’s ground transportation portfolio including rental cars, transportation network companies (TNCs), taxis, limousines, and emerging mobility services.
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing P&L performance, and advancing strategic partnerships that enhance both commercial outcomes and passenger experience. You will lead the development and execution of commercial strategies, negotiate and structure agreements, and identify new business opportunities aligned with evolving market trends. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Legal, and external partners, you will ensure commercial initiatives are operationally feasible, customer-centric, and aligned with regulatory and infrastructure considerations.
As a Manager, Ground Transportation and Commercial Agreements, you will:
- Lead the commercial strategy and business planning for the ground transportation portfolio, identifying and advancing revenue growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute partnership pipelines, including new business opportunities, go-to-market strategies, and commercial initiatives.
- Lead complex negotiations, RFP/RFQ processes, and contract structuring to maximize value, revenue, and operational feasibility.
- Own P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization initiatives
- Monitor and drive partner performance, ensuring alignment with commercial, financial, and customer experience objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align commercial strategies with operational realities, regulatory requirements, and infrastructure constraints.
- Leverage analytics and market insights to inform decision‑making, business cases, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective partners, government stakeholders, and industry participants through development and execution of robust governance models.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team, fostering a high‑performance, collaborative and accountable culture.
- Represent ground transportation commercial interests in governance forums, communicating performance, risks, and opportunities clearly.
