This contract role in the Indigenous Systems and Negotiations Unit is vital for shaping policy and building partnerships with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities across Ontario. You will lead the negotiation of agreements that empower Indigenous communities in developing their child and family service systems.
Your role emphasizes strategic direction and collaborative relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead negotiations that establish Indigenous-led service agreements
• Shape strategic advice to align negotiation goals with policy
• Maintain ongoing relationships with Indigenous stakeholders
• Coordinate legal and policy inputs for negotiations
• Supervise a team managing complex negotiation processes
Requirements:
• Proven leadership experience in team settings
• Strong skills in negotiations and relationship management
• Knowledge of Indigenous child and family services
• Ability to work within intergovernmental frameworks
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Drive impactful change in Indigenous child welfare with effective strategies and strong connections.
