Our banking client is seeking a Senior Project Manager (10+ years) to lead AML strategic programs using project management, business case development, and project financial management-
Join a high-visibility AML strategic program within a major banking environment supporting regulatory, operational, and infrastructure initiatives. This role leads large-scale cross-functional projects spanning business, operational, and IT deliverables while managing project financials, business cases, and integrated delivery plans. The successful candidate will work closely with senior executives and stakeholders across multiple lines of business on complex transformation initiatives.
Location Address:
Toronto/Hybrid- 3/week on site (could increase to 4 in future)
Contract Duration: 08/04/ to 07/30/ (Chance of Extension)
Schedule
Hours:
9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week
Must have skills:
10+ years of experience in project and program management, including managing large-scale projects or programs of significant complexity and value (? $20MM) with high risk management.8+ years of recent experience with managing Business cases8+ years of experience with Project Financials8+ years of proven experience with Project PlanningExpertise in the use of program/project tools (e.g., Clarity, MS Project, SharePoint repositories, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Expert presentation, written and verbal communication skills at all levels of organizationNice to have:
Previous experience with AML and compliance projects is highly preferredFinancial Crimes knowledge and experience is an assetFluent in English & Spanish to manage International Banking projects is nice to haveResponsibilities
Lead AML strategic programs and projects across business and technology teamsDevelop and maintain integrated delivery plans, milestones, and work breakdown structuresManage project financials, budgets, forecasts, and resource planning activitiesCreate and lead business case development and approval processesCoordinate project communications and briefings with executives and stakeholdersTrack project risks and issues and facilitate escalations when requiredChair steering committees and project working sessions to review project progress
