Pay Range: $110,000 - $140,000

The Senior Manager, Assortment Planning leads a division of the Assortment Planning function, delivering strong financial performance through interconnected business reviews and advanced analytics-driven insights. This role leads a multi-level team to drive strategic assortment decisions across in-store and online channels, leveraging macro space analytics, AI-enabled tools, and customer insights to optimize return on investment and business outcomes. The senior manager will work closely with Merchandising Senior Director leading supported departments, to develop and execute a calendar of category reviews, and should be an advocate for implementing assortment planning best practices across the portfolio of categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead team in structuring category reviews, assessing requirements and design analysis that influences category strategy. Provide thought leadership to team relative to category reviews.
- Provide process management for monitoring progress and proactively identifying and communicating issues. Review project milestones, conduct post-mortem analysis and integrate new sources of data that support category objectives.
- Deliver actionable insights and merchant-ready recommendations to drive category performance and financial results.
- Lead macro space analytics and capital allocation strategies, identifying opportunities to optimize space productivity with consideration for category productivity, regionalization, and store profiles/sizes.
- Integrate online and omnichannel insights into assortment strategies to maximize total business performance.
- Champion the use of AI and advanced analytics to improve forecasting accuracy, streamline processes, and elevate insight quality.
- Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Finance, Space Planning, Visual, Project Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure aligned and executable strategies.
- Provide program leadership across key initiatives, ensuring delivery against milestones and business outcomes.
- Build and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
