As a Project Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for project activities to ensure their successful delivery and will need to effectively lead a multidisciplinary team of experts to safely deliver vital train control solutions while working within established processes and norms. The role includes developing project plans and schedules, driving teams to deliver on commitments on time and within budget, engaging others within the organization to secure resources, and regularly preparing and presenting status reports for internal management and the customer.
KeyAccountabilities
- Implement and manage projects in accordance with contractual requirements and company processes.
- Manage overall performance/schedule compliance, cash flow, and budget while ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Strategically manage client expectations relative to achievable outcomes within the company’s business.
- Evaluate the need for out‑of‑scope work in light of strategic project gains.
- Enforce policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized work.
- Report on project “Estimates to Complete” to provide clarity on cost exposures and future labor needs.
- Review and input into the project risk list, and decide on mitigation expenditures to support optimal outcomes.
- Provide vision and direction from a leadership perspective, fostering a unified path for the project team.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with senior management, client, and team.
- 10 years of experience in a related industry or technical/aerospace field, and 10 years as a project manager.
- University degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunications, or Informatics) or equivalent professional practice.
- Strong technical expertise in Communication‑Based Train Control (CBTC) railway signaling systems.
- Demonstrated experience handling high‑complexity projects in multicultural and international settings, with focus on multi‑disciplinary technical aspects.
- Proven ability to organize and coordinate multiple international remote teams.
- Self‑disciplined, proactive, and entrepreneurial with strong commitment to achieving targets and rigorous work ethic.
- Excellent leadership and team‑management skills, inspiring and motivating cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and risk assessment.
- Fluent in English and capable in international, multicultural environments.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
$115,976 - $148,923
