Take charge of mechanical supervision at Ontario Northland's Toronto division. Oversee locomotive maintenance and enhance team performance through solid leadership. As the Lead Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of equipment maintenance and truck work for locomotives, focusing on compliance with safety and operational standards.
Your role will emphasize the necessity of inspections, repairs, and productive project management while liaising with the Superintendent. Previous railway experience will greatly enhance your ability to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee routine inspections and maintenance schedules
- Manage special projects and offsite repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper equipment use
- Facilitate training for apprentices and new staff members
- Maintain health and safety records and reports
- Mechanical trade certification preferred
- Experience with CMMS like SAP or Oracle
- 5+ years in railway or industrial environments
- Robust organizational and communication skills
- Committed to health and safety protocols
