Director of Student Engagement at U of T

Lead initiatives that foster student belonging and community engagement as the Director of Student Belonging and Engagement at the University of Toronto. This role champions inclusivity and support across diverse student populations.

The Director reports to the Executive Director, Student Life Programs & Services, providing strategic and operational leadership across a comprehensive portfolio. This role enhances student connection through engagement strategies and ensures responsive programs aligning with emerging needs. The focus is on developing community connections and co-curricular learning, fostering relationships between students, staff, and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction for student engagement initiatives

• Develop and assess student-facing programs and services

• Foster inclusive and supportive environments for diverse students

• Lead and mentor professional staff in various programs

• Manage budgetary and organizational changes across the portfolio

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in education, social work, or related fields

• Eight years of experience in student affairs

• Proven leadership in equity and inclusion strategies

• Skills in team coaching and conflict resolution

• Strong communication and program assessment abilities
