Finance Director

Position: Finance Director at Gairdner Foundation
Take the lead in financial operations at the Gairdner Foundation, where your strategic financial expertise will help celebrate world-leading science. This hybrid role requires oversight in compliance, risk management, and financial reporting.

As the Director of Finance, you'll report directly to the President and Scientific Director, becoming a vital member of the executive team. Key functions include managing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with funding agreements, and leading audits. With 8+ years of relevant experience, you'll coordinate with external partners and support Board governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial operations and reporting processes

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

• Manage external audit processes and compliance requirements

• Coordinate Board meetings and governance documentation

• Provide strategic financial insights to leadership

Requirements:

• CPA designation or equivalent experience

• Minimum 8 years in financial management

• Strong understanding of financial governance and controls

• Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences

• Experience in the charitable sector is a plus
