Racing Surfaces Supervisor at Woodbine

Lead the preparation and maintenance of racing surfaces at Woodbine Entertainment in Etobicoke, Ontario. This full-time role focuses on ensuring track safety and staff direction every race day.

As a Supervisor of Racing Surfaces, you will oversee daily activities related to track maintenance for Standard bred racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park. This position involves managing a dedicated team, ensuring operational equipment, and addressing any concerns related to the racing surface. Your expertise will be vital in promoting safety and efficiency throughout the racing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise track staff and provide daily direction

• Maintain racing surfaces for Standard bred events

• Ensure functionality and safety of track equipment

• Address concerns from Owners, Trainers, and Drivers

• Develop daily work schedules for track maintenance staff

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in racetrack management

• Post-secondary education in Property Services

• Knowledge of horse racing regulations

• D-class driver's license required

• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely
