Overview Dixon Hall is a multi-service, charitable organization committed to empowering the lives of the most underserved, marginalized and at-risk communities in downtown East Toronto. Across 32 sites, its dedicated team of 330+ helps thousands of individuals overcome barriers to stability and well‑being through comprehensive programs in supportive and deeply affordable housing, shelter, employment, settlement, youth, seniors' services, and a Music School.

Dixon Hall is funded by all levels of government, individual donors, and corporate partners, and works to create lasting solutions to end poverty, social injustices, and isolation through comprehensive, accessible, and innovative services. With nearly a century of continual adaptation to evolving needs, Dixon Hall is now entering an important new chapter of increasing scale, operational complexity, and opportunity.
Responsibilities The CEO will work closely with the Board, leadership team, staff, community partners, funders, and donors to forge strategic direction, increase technology‑enabled operational excellence, strengthen financial sustainability, and heighten cross‑program collaboration to ensure the delivery of innovative, responsive, and exceptional services to highly diverse constituencies. The CEO will demonstrate senior executive leadership or Board volunteer experience within a complex, multi‑site not‑for‑profit or public sector service delivery organization.
An inspiring and values‑based leader of integrity, the CEO will have expertise in at least one of Dixon Hall's program areas, and strong understanding of diverse urban communities. The CEO will be an excellent communicator internally and as the public face of Dixon Hall, and will be effective in team leadership, labour relations, government relations, funder and donor stewardship, community partnerships, and fundraising.
A strategic and creative thinker who understands the power of sound research and data, the CEO will be an incisive and financially astute leader who can translate plans into measurable achievement. Accountable, attentive, and known for operating with transparency, the next CEO will be a caring and trusted leader who is ready for the humbling task of making thousands of lives that much better.
