Centre Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and secure the store location and property, implementing programs and policies.
• Oversee adherence to brand and merchandising standards, image standards, safety, and asset protection within the Hardware and Lumber Departments.
• Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals related to pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory.
• Provide leadership to the team through recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of team members.
• Build strong customer relationships, deliver solutions, and monitor client satisfaction levels.
• Lead the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers and contractors.

• Understanding of lumber products and processes.
• Experience in sales, quote estimation, retail, hardware, or material industry.
• 6–9 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of commodity sales, gross margin, and inventory management.
• Honest, trustworthy, and able to motivate and lead team members.
• Must be legally authorised to work in Canada.
• Belief in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions, recognising the value different perspectives bring to shared objectives.
