Director of Finance

Position: Director of Finance at Capitalize for Kids
Shape the financial strategy for Capitalize for Kids as the Director of Finance. In this hybrid role, you will guide financial operations and provide strategic insights from day-to-day transactions to high-level analysis.

This is a hands-on leadership position reporting directly to the President & CEO. As Director of Finance, you will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance within a charity dedicated to improving youth mental health. Your expertise will directly impact the financial integrity and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise part-time Bookkeeper’s work and transactions

• Ensure timely month-end financial reporting and analysis

• Maintain and configure Quick Books Online for reporting

• Lead multi-year budget development in collaboration with executives

• Prepare audit documentation and financial statements

Requirements:

• 7+ years of financial management experience

• Proficiency in MS Office
365 and Quick Books Online

• Strong knowledge of not-for-profit accounting standards

• 3+ years in a leadership role preferred

• Relevant university degree
