The Chief Operating Officer reports directly to the Board of Directors, working extensively with AMAPCEO’s Senior Management Team. This role is integral in setting organizational objectives and supporting governance bodies through comprehensive operational management. You will be responsible for human resources and labor relations, ensuring organizational effectiveness and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead annual strategic planning processes
• Ensure sound budgeting and financial controls
• Manage technology and administrative support systems
• Oversee effective delivery of member services
• Evaluate operational structures for continuous improvement
Requirements:
• Experience supporting boards and strategic planning
• Senior executive experience in member-based organizations
• Proven union leadership and labor relations expertise
• Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders
• Demonstrated political acuity and judgment
