The Role

As Director, Workplace Services (Americas), you will lead the strategy, operations, and continuous evolution of CPP Investments’ workplace experience across the Americas. You will oversee facilities operations, workplace services, capital projects, and critical infrastructure while leading a high-performing team and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional employee experiences that support business performance and operational excellence.

The Team

The Corporate Services department enables CPP Investments’ global business by delivering safe, efficient, and high-performing workplaces that support collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. Through strategic workplace planning, facilities management, and service delivery, the team creates environments that enhance employee experience while supporting the organization’s long‑term objectives.

The Workplace Services team is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of CPP Investments’ office environments across the Americas. Working closely with business partners, vendors, and global stakeholders, the team delivers best‑in‑class workplace services, oversees capital projects and critical infrastructure, and ensures employees have an inspiring, safe, and productive workplace experience.

Accountabilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for Workplace Services across the Americas, ensuring workplace operations, facilities, and services align with CPP Investments’ business objectives and employee experience strategy.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and service‑oriented culture.
  • Oversee facilities operations, workplace services, space planning, preventive maintenance, and vendor performance to ensure operational excellence and business continuity.
  • Lead third‑party facility management partnerships, workplace service providers, and vendor relationships, including sourcing, contract negotiations, performance management, and cost optimization.
  • Direct workplace capital projects, tenant improvements, and office infrastructure initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on operational performance metrics, budgets, KPIs, and KRIs to drive continuous improvement, informed decision‑making, and organizational transparency.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on workplace strategy, leasing activities, and cross‑functional initiatives that support evolving business needs across offices in the Americas.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience leading workplace operations, facilities management, corporate real estate, or related functions within a complex, multi‑site organization.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing teams, including coaching, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Demonstrated success managing large operating and capital budgets ($10M–$50M), vendor relationships, and complex workplace or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities operations, workplace services, critical building systems, business continuity, and project delivery.
