This hands-on management role involves spearheading the Data & Observability Platform team at Kinaxis, focused on enhancing engineering velocity and modernizing legacy systems. You’ll develop robust frameworks, facilitate cross-functional partnerships, and lead a skilled team in Ottawa or Toronto while fostering a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor and manage a team of data platform engineers
• Build a culture of delivery speed and automation
• Define delivery priorities aligned with business goals
• Coach team members on engineering and operational practices
• Ensure alignment of platform work with product priorities
Requirements:
• 5+ years in data engineering or related roles
• 3+ years in a leadership position in tech
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, dbt, and cloud platforms
• Experience in CI/CD and observability practices
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
