Executive Director First Nations Housing Centre

Drive impactful changes as the Executive Director at the First Nations Off-Reserve Housing Centre in Toronto, Ontario. This hybrid position focuses on leadership, strategic planning, and community-driven housing solutions.

As the Executive Director of the First Nations Off-Reserve Housing Centre, you will lead day-to-day operations and ensure all programs comply with the Urban, Rural and Northern Indigenous Housing Strategy. You will establish foundational systems and advance culturally informed housing solutions addressing homelessness for First Nations individuals and families living off-reserve. Your inspiring leadership will foster long-term partnerships and fulfill the Centre’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation of the Centre’s mission and strategic priorities

• Develop annual work plans aligned with Board directives

• Ensure compliance with OCAP® principles and privacy laws

• Prepare quarterly and annual reports for stakeholders

• Build relationships with First Nations and housing organizations

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of senior leadership in Indigenous housing

• Relevant post-secondary education preferred

• Experience in housing project cycles and funding agreements

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Knowledge of First Nations governance and rights
