Your new role
As the Facilities & Capital Planning Manager, you will serve as the primary steward of capital assets, overseeing the planning, construction, maintenance, renewal, and improvement of campus buildings, infrastructure, and grounds. Reporting to the Director, Facilities & Services, you will lead the development of long-term capital planning strategies while managing a diverse portfolio of maintenance, renewal, and capital improvement projects.A significantponent of the role involves managing the asset management system, ensuring accurate asset inventories, condition assessments, life-cycle planning, and data-driven reporting. You will analyze asset performance and deferred maintenance requirements to develop short, medium, and long-term capital plans that align with institutional priorities, budget objectives, sustainability goals, and campus needs.
You will be responsible for leading capital projects from inception throughpletion, including business case development, consultant engagement, design oversight, tendering, contract administration, budget management, risk assessment, and project execution. Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and University policies.
