Director, Print & Post Operations & Financial Management

Combines operational leadership with financial and analytics leadership at a senior level, owning day-to-day tactical execution across production operations, vendor delivery, financial governance, reporting, and cost management — so the Head of P&P can focus on strategy, enterprise direction, and transformation. Reduces single-point dependency and develops a strong, resilient operating model across US and Canadian Retirement.

Operations Leadership

Provide day-to-day tactical leadership across production operations (fulfillment, imaging, vendor execution, output integrity, QA). Ensure operational continuity, SLA performance, and readiness across in-house and outsourced production. Support the operating model, capability layering, and continuity/backup planning. Champion production optimization — challenging design, materials, volume, and timing for cost-effective, standardized execution.

Financial & Analytics Leadership

Own overall P&P financial governance, reporting integrity, budgeting, forecasting, and cost transparency across US and Canadian Retirement. Ensure accuracy and reliability of the P&P financial storyline to senior leadership and Finance. Set the analytics and reporting strategy, including Power BI / data warehouse direction and data-quality standards. Lead cost-management and expense-reduction analysis with Operations, Vendor Governance, and the Opportunity Squad.

Leadership Duties

Act as senior second-in-command; own tactical decision-making; hold single-point accountability for compliance across P&P. Lead, coach, and develop managers and leads; build a resilient, documented, scalable operating model. Partner at a leadership level with Finance, Procurement, Business/Product, IT, and the transformation squads. Establish controls, audit readiness, and risk-aware decision-making.

Required Qualifications
  • Senior leadership experience spanning operations and financial management.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and own executive-level financial and operational reporting.
  • Experience leading data/reporting or analytics capability build (e.g., Power BI / data warehouse).
  • Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional partnership skills.
  • Manulife/insurance industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Print / mail / production industry experience (or demonstrable ability to ramp quickly).
  • Experience building or transforming a function from an immature or fragmented state.
  • Experience developing and mentoring managers as a senior leader.
