The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) is an independent, non‑profit organization dedicated to problem gambling prevention. For more than 40 years, we have worked to reduce gambling risk by creating and delivering innovative awareness and information programs in Ontario and around the world. We work with priority populations, including youth, young adults, ethnocultural populations, and the public, to educate people on the risks of gambling, how to mitigate those risks, and how to access support.

We work with industry, regulators and government to promote the adoption of improved play safeguards through best practices research, knowledge mobilization, standards development, and the RG Check accreditation program.

Reporting to the SVP, Strategy and Programs, the Director, Prevention Programs is responsible for leading the implementation of organizational strategy into measurable outcomes and sustainable impact. This role requires a highly accountable leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, takes ownership of results, and brings a strong bias toward action, execution, and continuous improvement.

The Director will lead a diverse portfolio of prevention programming including high school and post‑secondary education programs, training and workshops, and community outreach initiatives across diverse populations, ensuring all programs are effectively planned, implemented, evaluated, and scaled. Success in this role depends equally on the ability to drive performance and build trusted relationships. The successful candidate will be an accomplished people leader who inspires high‑performing teams, cultivates strategic partnerships, and brings stakeholders together to achieve ambitious goals.
