Position: Advertising sales / BD Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Identify key areas of growth, develop new business with media agencies, partners, sales reps, and direct clients in North America.
  • Conduct external kick-off meetings to establish clients needs and performance expectations, while effectively communicating client expectations internally.
  • Monitor delivery of campaigns against agreed goals, escalating issues to Ad Ops where necessary and working with internal teams to resolve.
  • Support the Canadian media industry by keeping a pulse on all active campaigns across the CA Media business, achieving or exceeding team sales targets and business goals.
  • Monitor regional/in-market trends on monetization in order to identify best practices, and achieve optimal results and innovation.
  • Actively involved in all phases of the sales lifecycle including identifying and developing leads, meetings with clients, developing value propositions, financial deal structuring, contract negotiation, deal closing, post-campaign reporting to billing and payment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, regional media sales experience in programmatic advertising, sponsorship, and video/OTT preferred.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the broadcast and OTT/video industry, programmatic advertising ecosystem, and regional developments and trends. Ideally has an in-depth knowledge of the industry and of the direct buying and biddable media marketplace.
  • Established regional network and strong relationships with direct advertisers, media agencies, partners, and sales reps in Canada.
  • Demonstrated track record of establishing and scaling regional ad spending and revenue growth.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced and fast-changing environment.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, ability to grasp product knowledge, being resourceful, independent, and strategic, and ability to multi-task and respond effectively to customer needs are highly desirable traits.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required.
