Position: Manager, Philanthropy & Donor Relations (Volunteer)

About Active Leaders of Love (ALL)

Active Leaders of Love (ALL) is a community leadership and advocacy organization dedicated to making Ontario more accessible — to resources, information, and opportunities. We partner with communities to identify priorities, respond to emerging challenges, and drive meaningful, lasting impact. Our work spans broad policy issues and local concerns, including mental health, digital literacy, safety, and accessibility.

About the Role

ALL is seeking an experienced Fundraising & Partnerships Manager (Volunteer) to establish and lead the organization’s philanthropy function. This role is hands-on and strategic, focused on building a philanthropy team, developing giving strategies, engaging donors, and ensuring ALL has systems in place for tracking and reporting philanthropic contributions.

The Manager will work closely with the CEO and CFO to align fundraising priorities with organizational strategy and to build processes that support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead ALL’s philanthropy function, including team structure, processes, and workflows
  • Research, identify, and engage individual, corporate, and foundation donors
  • Develop donor engagement and recognition strategies
  • Oversee major gifts, recurring giving programs, and strategic fundraising initiatives
  • Collaborate with leadership to align giving strategies with ALL’s organizational priorities
  • Track and report on philanthropic contributions, ensuring stewardship and accountability
  • Support the development of systems and tools for long-term philanthropy sustainability
Who We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years experience in philanthropy, major gifts, donor relations, or strategic fundraising
  • Proven success cultivating relationships with donors and securing philanthropic support
  • Knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in Ontario, including foundations, corporate giving, and individual donors
  • Strong strategic thinking, planning, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a small or early-stage nonprofit environment
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and board stakeholders
Time Commitment

Approximately 5–7 hours per week, flexible, with occasional increases during major giving campaigns or donor initiatives.

Contribute to a volunteer-led, community-driven organization while building your professional skills, expanding your network, and gaining recognition for your impact on the organization’s financial and philanthropic growth.
