Sunnybrook Foundation is seeking a proactive and competent major gift fundraising professional and relationship manager to serve as Senior Philanthropy Officer. The Senior Philanthropy Officer will manage and grow a diverse portfolio of 100-125 prospects, donors, and volunteers developing engagement strategies and solicitation plans in support of the Hospital’s strategic priorities.

With a passion for healthcare philanthropy, experience building credibility and trusting relationships, and an appreciation for the complexity of the hospital environment, the ideal candidate will develop mutually beneficial partnerships with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and other subject matter experts within specific areas of care and research, and be skilled at coaching and engaging them in all aspects of philanthropy.

Motivated by the opportunity to inspire lasting support, the Senior Philanthropy Officer will be an effective communicator that is skilled at articulating opportunities for philanthropic impact that compel donors to take action, securing significant donor support towards hospital priorities, and advancing Sunnybrook’s overall vision and ambition.

As an individual who leads with integrity, fosters a collaborative culture, and demonstrates a growth mindset, the Senior Philanthropy Officer will be a contributing member of the Philanthropy Team and subscribe to Sunnybrook Foundation’s ‘one team, one goal’ philosophy. They will be driven to achieve their personal and program team goals while being accountable to the entire Sunnybrook Foundation team.

We are growing our team of fundraisers and making strategic investments in preparation for the launch of our bold public-facing comprehensive campaign.

• Build and manage a portfolio of 100-125 assigned high-capacity major giving prospects, donors, and volunteers, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Meet or exceed annual targets of $2M-$5M, working with the Philanthropy Director to achieve strategic objectives, performance metrics and financial targets.
