Support the voice of youth at CAMH as a Co-Facilitator for Program Engagement. Utilize your background in mental health to drive program effectiveness and community involvement.
The McCain Centre is seeking a part-time Program Engagement Co-Facilitator to enhance service user participation in mental health programming. You will work closely with the Youth Engagement Coordinator, co-facilitating advisory meetings and gathering insights from individuals with lived experience.
Your role will also encompass creating educational resources and managing community engagement efforts to better serve diverse youth families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate advisory meetings and participate in focus groups
• Mentor Advisors for effective representation of service users
• Create and distribute training materials like videos and tip sheets
• Lead community engagement and social media strategies
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new Advisors
Requirements:
• Personal connection to mental health or substance use challenges
• Committed to anti-racism and equity-focused practices
• Strong teamwork and mentorship skills
• Proficient in written communication and public speaking
• Willing to work evenings and weekends as necessary
