Society of Sharing:
Inner-City Volunteers (SOS) is a non‑profit charitable organization dedicated to reducing isolation among seniors living in Toronto’s downtown core through compassionate, volunteer‑driven programs.

We are currently seeking engaged, thoughtful, and community‑minded individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play an important role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction, strengthening its impact, and ensuring long‑term sustainability. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute your expertise, strengthen community connections, and help improve the quality of life for vulnerable seniors.

Who We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates with experience or professional knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

Fundraising

Human Resources

Law

Health Care / Social Services

Previous board experience in the non‑profit sector is considered an asset but not required.

Commitment
Board Members are expected to:

Attend monthly board meetings

Participate in at least one board committee

Contribute time and expertise to support organizational priorities

Attend additional meetings or events as needed
