This full-time temporary opportunity at Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre extends until December 31, 2026. We are looking for a passionate health educator experienced in harm reduction and community engagement. You will lead projects aimed at reducing overdose events while promoting education around safer drug use among diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer education on overdose prevention to clients at shelters
• Manage the distribution and collection of harm reduction supplies
• Create and facilitate impactful workshops to diverse audiences
• Develop community networks for enhancing support services
• Conduct program evaluations and maintain accurate reporting
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field
• 3 to 5 years working in community health settings
• Understanding of the complexities faced by marginalized groups
• Ability to communicate in another language is advantageous
• Proven experience in training and overseeing peer staff
