Position: Community Engagement Consultant for Black Empowerment
Help foster thriving Black communities as a Community Advocacy Consultant with the Centre for Advancing the Interests of Black People. This role emphasizes hybrid work and collaborative program delivery.

Reporting to the Centre Director, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at empowering Black tenants across TCHC neighborhoods in Northwest Toronto. This position includes leading community engagement efforts and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure the delivery of equitable services.

Your role will also consist of mentoring and guiding tenant advocates throughout project undertakings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic initiatives in targeted neighborhoods

• Develop partnerships with B3 organizations

• Consulting across various business units and community stakeholders

• Offer project management leadership to teams

• Conduct program effectiveness evaluations and needs assessments

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of community development experience

• Deep understanding of anti-Black racism principles

• Knowledge of Black tenants' experiences in TCHC communities

• Ability to manage concurrent projects independently

• Strong facilitation and presentation skills

Drive impactful community programs and elevate advocacy efforts for the Black community.
